Marian Grantham Lannon, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at her residence in Quail Haven.
A graveside memorial service will be held at her interment in Lake City, Iowa.
Mrs. Lannon was born March 27, 1915, in Lake City, Iowa, to Edgar and Clara (Eakin) Grantham. She attended Stephens College and the University of Iowa, where she met and married Robert E. Lannon. She graduated from Syracuse University.
For a major portion of her life, she lived in Syracuse, N.Y., and Southern Pines, where she was active in her church and PEO.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert. She is survived by three sons, R. Grant Lannon, of Austin, Texas, James W. Lannon, of Herndon, Va., and Richard M. Lannon, of Denver; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
