Linda Marion Powers, 53, of Carthage, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at her home, with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Culdee Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chris Bobo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
She was born Jan. 16, 1958, in Moore County, and was a member of Culdee Presbyterian Church. Her faith in God was and will continue to be an inspiration to all who met her.
She is survived by her son, Matthew David Powers; her mother and father, Gussie Monroe Marion and Floyd Gilmer Marion; brothers Johnie Ellis Marion and wife Connie, Ronnie Michael Marion and wife Cathy, and Gary Kent Marion; and four nephews, three nieces and two great-nieces, all of Carthage.
