Ida Epsy Moretz Bristow, 101, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, in Knoxville, Tenn.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Eastwood, followed by a celebration of life and reception at 2 p.m. at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Southern Pines.
Ida was born in Boone and came to the Sandhills in the mid-1920s. She was preceded in death by her husband, K. Dewey Bristow, and sons Kenny and Johnny.
She is survived by her two daughters, Joy Ann Bradley and her husband, Joe, of Knoxville, and June B. Bobbitt, of Southern Pines; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Weldon Bristow, wife of the late Johnny Bristow, of Spartanburg, S.C; a brother, Charles Moretz and his wife, Verta, of Mebane; a sister, Faye Isely, of Mebane; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
