Edith Lynne Burwell Abraham, 58, of Anderson, S.C., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at the Medical University of South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the First Baptist Church, in Anderson. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
She was born Jan. 18, 1953, in Pinehurst, to Lewis and Edith Burwell. She was a dedicated wife and parent, committed friend, and a talented musician who loved to sing. She appreciated the goodness of God’s creation. Her faith gave her strength during the struggle to survive her deadly disease.
Lynne was a registered nurse and worked at Oconee Memorial Hospital and Duke Energy. She coordinated nursing and physician services at Clemson University athletic and special events for six years. She also served as director of nursing at Myrtle Beach Manor Nursing Home and was an emergency medical technician and paramedic instructor.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Jack; their three children, Mary, Anna, and Jackson; and three brothers, Carter, Henry and Robert.
