Lee Daniel Monroe, 68, of Aberdeen, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Simon Funeral Home chapel, in Southern Pines. Burial was in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Southern Pines.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Lyles Monroe; mother, Maggie Epps; daughters, Janice Miller, Patricia Patrick and Bridget Monroe; stepsons, Johnny and Richard Lyles; stepdaughters, Angela Scott and Annette Jackson; sister, Ruby; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
