Myrtle Garner Freeman, 79, of Star, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Dr. Don Davis and the Rev. Thomas Farrell Hussey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Moore County to Miller and Cora Hussey Garner. She was a retired hosiery mill employee.
She is survived by her husband, Enoch Jason “E.J.” Freeman Jr., of the home; daughter, Linda Monroe and husband, Gerald, of Aberdeen; son, the Rev. Dr. R.J. Freeman, of Star; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
