James A. Locklear

James “Dick” Arthur Locklear, 66, of Eagle Springs, died Friday, October 28, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, in Charlotte. A brief service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Boles Funeral Home, in Seven Lakes. The family will receive friends after service until 5 p.m.
He was born July 25, 1945, in Hoke County, to Francis Jackson and Greene Locklear. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Army Reserves. He was a long-distance truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Locklear.
He is survived by stepdaughter Terry DeBosky; grandchildren Ryan Carter, Jamie Baker, Michael Baker, Tonya Moss, Kelly Moss, Carrie Moss and Casey Moss; 13 great-grandchildren; aunt Margie Hinson; brother Dannie Locklear; sister Clara Locklear; and several nieces and nephews.
