Robert “Bob” S. Faulk Sr., 71, of Raeford, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, in Fayetteville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines, with Bishop Alton Burrow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Wayne Memorial Park, in Goldsboro.
He was born March 23, 1940, in Mount Olive. Mr. Faulk was a graduate of North Duplin High School, class of 1958, and a graduate of DeVrey Technical Institute in Chicago. Mr. Faulk owned and operated Sturdivant Supply Inc. in Fayetteville until his retirement in 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Janice C. Faulk; his mother, Erma A. Goodson, of Mount Olive; son, Robert S. Faulk Jr. and wife, Kelley, of Stafford, Va.; daughter, Susan F. Sweitzer and husband, Patrick, of Monroe, Ga.; and brother, Wayne E. Faulk Jr. and wife, Ellen, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and a grandson, Samuel Sweitzer.
