Helen Ryan, 76, of Robbins, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, at Unity Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Terry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Kennedy Funeral Homes in Robbins and at other times at the home.
Ms. Ryan was a retired postmaster from the Eagle Springs post office. Her parents, Robert and Joan Alexander Nicodemus, preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by longtime companion, Lester Wallace; daughters, Tammy Arthur, of Carthage, and Vickie Wallace, of Carthage; sons, Ricky C. Ryan, of Robbins, and Terry Carpenter, of Louisville, Ky., Randy Carpenter, of Aberdeen; sister, Shirley Gray, of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, John Nicodemus, of Asheboro, and Larry Nicodemus, of Destin, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
