Betty McIntosh Garner, 78, of Lakeview, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, in Carthage, with the Rev. Archie Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Union Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the funeral home, and other times at the residence.
A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late John Robert McIntosh and Ella Oldham McIntosh. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Garner; daughter, Pamela Whitesell, of Lakeview; sisters, Ruth Hughes, of Southern Pines, and Stella Lichner, of Vass; and granddaughter, Brittany Whitesell Biles, of Alexandria, Va.
