Rosa Hamlin Cummings

Rosa Hamlin Cummings, 77, of Vass, died Saturday, March 26, 2011.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church with Pastor Paul McClure and Joe Hearne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cummings was the wife of the late Warren J. “Buddy” Cummings and the daughter of the late Cecil James and Dazzie Turney Hamlin. Mrs. Cummings worked with the Moore County Schools for many years, and was a wonderful mother and homemaker and was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Vass.
She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Hicks and husband, Robert, of Vass; two sons, Gary Cummings and wife, Portia, of Vass, and David Cummings and wife, Wanda, also of Vass; seven grandchildren, Tonya Blue, husband, Lewin, of Vass, Asheley Allred, husband, Richard, of Vass, Jennifer Riley, husband, Zachary, of Southern Pines, Angela Thompson, husband, Kenny, of Vass, Krystal Martin, husband, Matt, of Maryland, Tara Thompson, husband, Scott, of Concord, Alison Black, husband, C. W., of Vass; nine great-grandchildren, Amber and Samantha Allred, Cecilia and Kally Thompson, Haylie Black, David and Sophie Thompson, Kendyl Cole and George Blue.
A visitation will be held at New Home Baptist Church on Sunday, March 27, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. and other times at the home, 204 J. Burns Road, Vass, N. C. 28394.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Home Baptist Church, 1000 Lobelia Road, Vass, NC. 28394.
