Wilbert Bullard died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Aberdeen, with the Rev. Kenny Revels, the Rev. Shelly Dial and the Rev. Beanie Dial officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the church.
He was born July 13, 1930, in Hoke County, to Selester Jane Bullard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lowery Bullard; daughter Wanda Bullard Alvis; and son Chancey W. Bullard.
He is survived by his daughter Ruby Graham and husband, Jack, of Wilmington; sons Wilbert T. Bullard and wife, Mary, of Wagram, James H. Bullard and wife, Dolly, of Red Springs, and Ricky Bullard and wife, Sherry, of Wilmington; brother Marvin Bullard and wife, Geneva, of Aberdeen; sisters Mildred Locklear and husband, Gaston, of Raeford, Lillian M. Cummings, of Aberdeen, and Betty Cummings, of Aberdeen; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
