Joann Thompson Mabe, 67, of Pinebluff, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines. Burial will follow at Pinebluff Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the funeral home.
She worked many years with the telephone company in many capacities, eventually retiring from Sprint.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie H. Thompson and Fleta Jenkins Thompson; and two brothers, Roy Jenkins and Earl Thompson. She is survived by a son, Tony R. Mabe and his fiancee, Louisa Blake, and a brother, Reid Thompson, all of Pinebluff.
