VOLTZ

Robert Martin Voltz, 68, of Pinehurst, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his residence.
A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst with interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. A vigil for the deceased will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst.
Mr. Voltz was born July 21, 1942, in Syracuse, N.Y., to William and Mary Voltz. He graduated in 1961 from Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, received his bachelor’s degree from Lemoyne College in 1964, also in Syracuse, and graduated from Georgetown Law School in 1967. He retired from NLRB( National Labor Relations Board in 2001 after 32 years of service and worked at the Falls Road Golf Course in Potomac, Md., from 2001-2007. He and his wife retired to Pinehurst in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen; son, Michael Voltz and wife, Valerie, of Leesburg, Va.; daughter, Eileen Cano and husband, Benjamin, of Edgewater, Md.; granddaughter, Mikayla Voltz; sister, Mary Mooney and husband, Bob, of Syracuse; brothers, John and wife, Barbara, of Syracuse, Bill and wife, Jan, of Bethesda, Md.; sister-in-law, Mollie Voltz, of Syracuse; and nine nieces and four nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Jim; and nephew, Bobby Mooney.
