William Mitchell Amey, 98, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 29, in the Chapel of Configuration at Penick Village, with the Rev. Patsy Smith officiating.
Born May 29, 1913, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles and Alice Payne Amey and husband of the late Eleanor Stallman Amey.
Mr. Amey was a contract administrator for Washington National Airport.
He is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth M. and husband, Garrett L. Hutsko, Judith A. Amey, and Barbara J. and husband, Truman G. Guckert; one son, Charles P. Amey; five grandchildren, Corrie J. and husband, Christopher Hogan, Andrew I. Guckert, Kelly A. Guckert, Jessica M. and husband, R. Wayne Adams, and Sarah M. Guckert; and eight great-grandchildren.
