Xai Xiong Vang, 72, of Carthage, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Stanly Gardens of Memory, in Albemarle. The family will receive friends at 28338 Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle, starting at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, all day on Saturday, and until 12 p.m. Sunday, and at other times at the home of Kou Vang, 307 Vang Drive, Mount Gilead.
Ms. Vang was born April 7, 1939, in Loom Khais (Pob Tsua), Laos, a small mountain community located in the province of Luam Phab Bag. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sia Shoua Vang.
She is survived by her sons, Kao Vang, of Concord, Choua Vang, of Carthage, Chong Vang, of Apex, and Cher Vang, of Harrisburg; and eight grandchildren.
