Barbara Riker Melick, 90, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, July 16, 2011.
A private memorial service will be held by the family in Greensboro, Vt., at a later date.
Mrs. Melick was born Jan. 20, 1921, in Morristown, N.J., to the late John and Loraine Riker. She graduated from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and taught in the Parsippany Public School System in New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Melick; daughter Paula Ann; and sister, Betty Howell. She is survived by her sons, John Melick and David Melick (Debbie); daughters Loraine Seronick (Peter) and Jeanette Roke (Ed); and grandchildren, Meagan, Randy, Cori, Stacy and Andrew.
