Barbara Kuzma, 68, of Gulfport, Fla., died Sunday, July 10, 2011, peacefully surrounded by her family and friends, after a courageous battle with endometrial cancer.
Barbara was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Astoria, N.Y., and lived in Garden City, Smithtown and Syosset, N.Y., before she and her husband retired to Gulfport. She loved to travel and was an accomplished cook, sculptor and painter.
She is survived by her loving husband, Peter; her sons, Peter Kuzma, of Butler, N.J., Paul Kuzma, of Pinehurst, and Thomas Kuzma of Huntington, N.Y.; her daughter, Barbara Palmer, of Bloomingdale, N.J.; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Anna, Elizabeth, Emily and Nora; her sisters, Mary Alice DelliCarpini and Ann Chabot; and her brothers, Neil Curtin and Thomas Curtin.
