Rasheid Ali Purcell, 25, of Raeford, died Friday, July 1, 2011.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Purcell Funeral Home, in Laurinburg. A viewing was held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, July 4.
He served with the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Purcell; father, James McKayhan; sister, Katrina McKayhan; brothers, Jameel Purcell and Kaheem McKayhan; grandmother, Glinnie Purcell; and grandfather, Walter R. Purcell.
