David A. Frye, 49, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, after a long battle with cancer.
A graveside serive will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Archie Stevens officiating. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Gentry and Lilly Frye.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of Gentry T. Frye and Lilly Oiler Frye. After graduating from Union Pines High School, he went on to become a computer technician with Flextronics in Youngsville. He loved fishing and NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Lynn Blue, of Pinebluff; a brother, Steven Frye, of Sanford; a great-aunt, Lucille Frye, of Carthage; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
