Catherine Evans Middleton “Kitty” Currie, 75, of Laurinburg, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium, and on Monday following the service at the church.
She is survived by her husband, William Blue Currie; sisters, Laura Newton, of Greenville, S.C., and Patsy Middleton, of Charlotte; brother, Sam Middleton, of Maxton; sisters-in-law, Pat Middleton, of Maxton, Sarah Middleton, of Charlotte, and Catherine Johnson, of New Bern; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, William Blue Currie Jr.; and brothers, William B. Middleton, Daniel L. Middleton Jr. and James D. Middleton; and sister, Peggy Craig.
