Sarah Warren Long Almond, 85, of Pinehurst, formerly of Mebane, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the McClure Funeral Home, 1308 South Third St., Mebane, with burial immediately afterward.
Sarah spent the majority of her life as a resident of Richmond, Va. She and her husband were active in the Acca Temple Shrine. She loved to play bridge, travel and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Almond; a brother, Don Warren (Jean); three sons, Scott Long (Patsy), of Augusta, Ga., Michael Long (Peggy), of Fairfax Station, Va., and Jeffrey Almond (Melanie), of Dunwoody, Ga; six grandchildren, Jason and Christopher Long, Jonathon and Corey Long, and Charles and Camilla Almond; and one great-grandchild, Harrison Long.
