Robert Wilson Ryals Sr., 86, of Southern Pines, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Wallace officiating.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Duke Ryals. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Ann Ryals, of Southern Pines; sons, Robert W. Ryals Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, of Raleigh, and Richard E. Ryals and wife, Joanne, of Severn, Md.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his feline companions, Molly and Little.
