Julia C. Marley
Julia C. Marley, of Robbins, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Pinelake Health and Rehab, in Carthage, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at First Wesleyan Church, in Robbins, with Pastor Sam Swinney officiating. Burial will follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Kennedy Funeral Home, in Robbins, and other times at 276 Simmons Road, Robbins.
Julia was a native of Robbins, where she spent all her life working in the mill. She was a homemaker and an active member of the First Wesleyan Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a choir member. She loved sewing, quilting and working in her flower and vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Plennie Marley and Flossie Mae Stutts Marley; sisters Ruth M. Maness and Edna M. Garner; and brothers Grady Marley, Everette Marley and Graham Marley.
She is survived by her sisters Emily Owens and husband, Bobby, Barbara Reynolds and husband, Wendall, and Virginia Moore, all of Robbins, and Naomi Brown, of Bennett; brother Norman Marley, of Robbins; and several nieces and nephews.
