LESSNER

Joseph Lessner, 97, of Pinehurst, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011.
He was born March 2, 1913, in Shelby, Ind., and grew up in Chicago, Ill. He worked for the U.S. Treasury Department and retired in 1973. He moved to Pinehurst in 1990. He enjoyed golf, fishing and gardening.
He was a devoted husband and is survived by his wife of 73 years, Dorothy Lessner; daughter, Dolores Muller, and her husband, Ron, of Pinehurst; and brother Donald Lessner, of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
