Linda Louise Adams, 66, of Anderson, S.C., died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Ellenburg Nursing Center, in Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Pinebluff Cemetery, in Pinebluff.
Born Nov. 17, 1944, in Pinebluff, Linda was a daughter of the late Edward Garbino Adams and Beatrice Adcox Adams. She was believed to be the oldest living resident with Down syndrome in Anderson County.
She is survived by a brother, W. Jerry Adams, of Cary; and a sister, Gladys A. Lester, of West Deptford, N.J. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Edward G. Adams Jr. and Joseph W. Adams; and three sisters, Carmen B. DeRose, Alice A. Howie and Allene A. Leach.
The family wishes to thank Ellenburg Nursing Center for the excellent care given to Linda for the past 5 ½ years and to Belton Community Residence for the preceding 16 years.
