Pearlie Mae Vanhoy Cole, 95, of Jackson Springs, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Autumn Care, in Biscoe.
The family received friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. The funeral followed the visitation at 11:30, with the Rev. Donald Burns officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
She was born Jan. 13, 1916, to the late Robert Jasper Vanhoy and Rosa Belle Blaylock. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, in Jackson Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Reece Cole; and her son Reece Eugene Cole.
She is survived by her son Ralph Cole and wife, Joyce, of Jackson Springs; a daughter-in-law, Libby Cole, of Aberdeen; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
