Doreen B. Campion, 78, of Pinehurst, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011.
Doreen was born July 7, 1933, in Grand Rapids, Minn., and grew up in Rochester, Minn. A graduate of Rochester High School, she worked for several years at the Mayo Clinic.
After moving to Cary, she chose to stay at home and raise her four children before retiring with her husband to Pinehurst.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerol “Jerry” Campion.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Hancock and her husband, Steven, of Mandeville, La.; three sons, Thomas Campion, of Austin, Texas, Paul Campion and his wife, Erica, of Raleigh, and Christopher Campion and his wife, Paige, of Wake Forest; and six wonderful granddaughters.
Doreen will be dearly missed by her family and by her many friends from Pinehurst, Cary and Rochester.
