Jane S. Carpenter, 84, of Southern Pines, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Belle Meade Retirement Resort.
A brief graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Gale Meyer, Karen Gallagher and Barbara Bell; son, John Bell; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Education Fund of Belle Meade Retirement Resort, 100 Waters Drive, Southern Pines, NC 28387.
