Reba Taylor Beith, 93, of Pinehurst, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at the Fox Hollow Senior Living Community.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the First Baptist Church of Southern Pines, with Dr. Tom Allen officiating.
She was born July 19, 1918, to the late Myron Russell Taylor and Edna Mount Taylor, of Freehold, N.J., and was married to the late John Cecil Beith, of Freehold and Southern Pines.
She is survived by three children, John R. Beith and wife, Lynn, of Southern Pines, Lorraine B. Ward and husband, John, of Fort Mill, S.C., and Gary E. Beith, of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren, Rebecca W. Reece and husband, Kevin, of Brevard, Patricia W. Chitwood and husband, Keith, of Charlotte, Jaclyn B. Beith, of Seattle, and J. Taylor Beith, of Cary; two great-granddaughters, Allison and Lindsey Reece; and two sisters, Ruth T. Newman, of Adairsville, Ga., and Nion T. Potter, of Farmingdale, N.J. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John G. Taylor and Russell M. Taylor.
