Helen Wright Ray, 70, of Southern Pines, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, Southern Pines. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Southern Pines. Visitation will be held from 5:50 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Simon Funeral Home.
She is survived by her son, David Ray (Tamara); sisters, Betty Graham and Annie King; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
