Nell Shepard Sanders, 73, of Eagle Springs, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst, with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Browns Chapel Christian Church, with the Rev. Michael Parenti officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Phillips Funeral Home, Star.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charlie H. Sanders Sr., of the home; son, Charlie H. Sanders Jr. and wife, Julie Sanders, of Summerton, S.C.; daughter, Kathy S. Edmonds and husband, Mitchell P. Edmonds, of Cameron; four grandchildren, Jillian Durick and husband, John H. Durick III, of Cameron, Teah Edmonds, of Cameron, Tuesday Sanders, of Summerton, and Amery Sanders, of Summerton; brother, David Sheppard, of Aberdeen; and sister, Mildred Wright, of Fayetteville.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will greatly be missed.
