Clarence Flowers

Clarence Flowers, 93, of Southern Pines, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, in Southern Pines.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Flat Rock A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Morven.
The family is receiving friends at the home of Martha Broadway, 1365 W. Michigan Ave., Southern Pines
Mr. Flowers served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Walker; niece, Martha Broadway; great nephews, James Leak and wife, Stacee, and Calvin Leak and wife, Sharon; and other relatives.
