Melinda Anne Kennedy, 48, of Carthage, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, in Carthage. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at the funeral home and other times at the home of her mother, 403 Williamson Road, Carthage.
She attended Union Pines High School and worked for many years at Hillcrest Community Store.
She is survived by a son, Travis Stidham, of Cameron; her mother, Annie Goodwin, of Carthage; a sister, Teresa Salyer and husband, Mike, of Carthage; a brother, Mike Goodwin, of Broadway; and granddaughter, Dixie Lynn Stidham.
