James Fred Reynolds

James Fred Reynolds, 82, of Candor, died Friday, April 28, 2011, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Candor United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. William Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Candor Cemetery.
Born on December 19, 1928, in Richmond County, he was the son of Elmer and Annie Goodman Reynolds. He was a textile supervisor with Gulistan Carpets in Aberdeen, retiring after 32 years. He was a member of the Candor Lions Club for 45 years, maintaining perfect attendance, and was a past president and Lion of the Year. He was a retired volunteer fireman. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Fred is survived by his wife, Billet Lamonds Reynolds, of the home; two sons, Ray Reynolds and wife, Debbie, of Albemarle, and Ronnie Reynolds and wife, Sharon, of Asheboro; two daughters, Reba Reynolds Yeager, of Alpharetta Ga., and Robin Reynolds Hutchings and husband, Charles, of Candor; daughter-in-law, Sue Reynolds, of Troy; three brothers, Robert Reynolds, of Spartanburg, S.C., Wade Reynolds and ,wife Dixie, of Aberdeen, and Don Reynolds and wife, Carolyn, of Pineville; two sisters, Doris Bennett, of Candor, and Ruth Spivey, of Ellerbe; 12 grandchildren, Sherry Reynolds Anderson and husband, Scott, John Reynolds, Susan Reynolds, Ian Reynolds, Alex Reynolds and wife, Kelly, Nate Reynolds and wife, Alyson, Billy Yeager, Drew Yeager, Emily Yeager, Amy Lewis Blake and husband, Dusty, Jeff Reynolds and wife, Blair, and Sarah Lewis; five great-grandchildren, Jack and Maggie Anderson, Nicholas and Easton Reynolds and Mia Blake.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on West Currie Road.
