Cordelia Pierce
Cordelia Pierce, 75, of Aberdeen, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Church of God of Prophecy, in Aberdeen. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines.
She was born June 29, 1935, in Hoke County, to the late John Pierce and Mary Jane Perkins Pierce. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Aberdeen.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Pierce, of Aberdeen; three daughters, Jane Simpson, of Carthage, Jennie Wilson, of Aberdeen, and JoAnn Pierce, of Carthage; three brothers, Roy Pierce, of Wichita, Kan., John Pierce, of Arizona, and Phil Pierce, of Pinehurst; and three sisters, Peggy Lowery, of Pinehurst, Connie Oxendine, of Red Springs, and Dell Chavis, of Red Springs. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
