Marjanna Ruth Collins Erwin

Marjanna Ruth Collins Erwin, formerly of Vass, died Monday, April 18, 2011, in Wichita, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, at Cypress Presbyterian Church, in Cameron. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was born July 20, 1920, in Winoa Lake, Ind., and graduated from Ball University. She taught high school for 43 years and substituted for five more years.
She retired with her husband to Vass and joined Cypress Presbyterian Church, and started Junior Church. After her husband’s death, she moved to Wichita to live with her daughter and joined Eastmunster Presbyterian Church. Later she moved to Larksfield Place, where she lived until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney W. Erwin; sister LeNora Peckinpaugh; and brother, Galen Collins.
She is survived by a son, David and wife, Dr. Barbara Erwin, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Linda and husband, Thomas Mason, of Wichita; three sisters, Evangeline Maloublar, of Southern Pines, Donnabelle Boughton, of Vass, and Rosalyn Lamb, of Mead, Neb.; and four grandchildren, William Erwin, Jonathan Erwin, Christina Mason Podany and Clifton Mason.
