Virginia Berkstresser Shoemaker, 91, of Pinehurst, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Saxton Methodist Church, Saxton, Pa.
She was born Dec. 3, 1919, to the late John Dixon and Leta Bradley Berkstresser, in Saxon, Pa.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Shoemaker; one son, Lawrence Shoemaker, Jr. and his wife, Ellen, of Bethlehem, Pa.; one sister, Janet Shontz, of James Creek, Pa.; and three grandsons, Christopher, Kyle and Kevin.
