Johnny Clark York, 79, of Eagle Springs, died Monday, April 18, 2011, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Unity Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Terry Warren officiating. Interment will follow, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard, in the Tabernacle UMC Cemetery, in Robbins.
Mr. York was born in Moore County to John Clark and Pearlie Lee Maness York. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed for 36 years with Carthage Fabrics. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathy York Alexander.
He is survivied by his wife, Crissie Rouse York, of the home; sons, Tony York and wife, Debbie, of Seagrove, Mark York and wife, Renee, of Robbins, and Chris York and wife, Liane, of West End; sister, Mary Dora Smith, of Carthage; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
