Jimmy “Smoke” Lee Britt, 59, of Robbins, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Christian Life Ministries, with the Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will follow in the Britt family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Kennedy Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
A native of Moore County, Smoke was a loving husband, a fan of bluegrass music, fishing, flying kites and fireworks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Wicker Britt; a brother, Jerry Britt; and a sister, Brenda Medlin.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Gallimore Britt, of the home; stepsons, Sterling Andrew Kinley, of Raleigh, and Preston Robert Kinley, of the home; stepdaughter, Stephanie Kinley, of Asheboro; brother Robert Britt, of Star; and sisters Colleen Nall, of Star, and Ann Dingman, of Level Cross.
