Alva Elizabeth McDonald Williams Brown passed away at the home of her daughter in Atalanta, Ga., on March 11, 2011.
She was born to Duncan P. and Annie E. McDonald, of Pinehurst, on March 12, 1917.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Brown; daughter, Patricia Ruff; son, Terry Williams; brothers, Alex, Daniel, Donald and Dalton McDonald; sisters, Lydia Smith, Agnes Hunt and Adel McQueen.
She is survived by daughter, Jeanine Peavy, of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Charles Brown, of Atlanta, Ga, Kirk Williams and the Rev. Max Williams, of Carthage; sister, Alma Sineath, of Texas; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and 36 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at a later date at McDonald’s Chapel Presbyterian Church, 1374 Foxfire Rd., Aberdeen.
Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage is handling the local arrangements.
