Kathy McKenzie Flynn, 61, of Sanford, died Sunday, April 10, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Culdee Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Gary Ashley and the Rev. Scott McInnis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late James McKenzie and Doris Nall McKenzie. A graduate of Union Pines High School, she worked for many years in accounting for Pilgrims Pride.
She is survived by a daughter, Shannon Butner and husband, Leonard, of Sanford; two sons, Gary Flynn and wife, Amanda, of Carthage, and Jerry Flynn and wife, Shannon, of Sanford; a brother, Darrell McKenzie and wife, Karen, of Carthage; and six grandchildren, Kelby and Aubrey Butner, Cameron, Jacob and Alex Flynn, and Peyton Flynn.
