Frances Mary Horky (Miki), 94, of Whispering Pines, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Horky was born in Omaha, Neb., to the late Thomas and Anna McQuade. Miki was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Horky.
The Horkys were longtime residents of Whispering Pines, former members of Whispering Pines Country Club and members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Southern Pines. The past three years, she resided at the Fox Hollow Senior Living Community in Pinehurst.
She is survived by sons, Ronald and wife, Sandra, Horky, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Richard and wife, Gloria, Horky, of Pinehurst; daughter, Carol and husband, J. Daniel, Butler, of Southern Pines; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will celebrate her life with a memorial service at a later date.
