Ada Jeanette Spurgin Fields
Ada Jeanette Spurgin Fields, 80, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Southern Pines and Greensboro, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Waccamaw Hospital, in Murrells Inlet.
A memorial service honoring Jeanette’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines.
Jeanette was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Tarboro, and was one of four children of the late Earl Vance Spurgin and Ada M. Adams Spurgin. “A.J.,” as she was affectionately called by family members, enjoyed life to the fullest.
Jeanete predeceased her life partner, Joseph McCaffrey, of Murrells Inlet. Her dearly beloved Joseph recently joined her. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Earl “Spurg” Spurgin; sister, Elizabeth Lou Spurgin Kiser; half brother, James Cooke; and son, William Vance Goodhue.
