Steven Philip Steece, 57, of Aberdeen, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, in Southern Pines, with the Rev. Meaghan Kelly officiating. A reception will follow.
Steven was born May 11, 1953, in Bethesda, Md., to Mary Ann and the late Philip J. Steece. He grew up and graduated from high school in McLean, Va. He received a B.A. in history from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville in 1976. He worked for the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Steven is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Steece, of Southern Pines; sister, Mary Clare Steece-Julich; and brother, Andrew St. Clair Steece.
