Norman W. Vernick, 90, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at St. Joseph of the Pines.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, with Pastor Scott Homesley officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at Pineknoll in Southern Pines, following the committal service.
Norman was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He retired from Lincoln Electric after 35 years of service. Being avid golfers, he and his wife retired to Moore County in 1982.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Mohr Vernick; his son, Dale Vernick; and grandsons Dale Vernick Jr. and Robert Vernick.
