Arthur Harold Wilke, 91, of Southern Pines, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Arthur was born Aug. 21, 1919, in Chicago, a son of Arthur and Helen Wilke. He was a veteran of World War II and was devoted to his wife of 68 years, his children and his desire to play the piano.
He is survived by his three children, Kathy Townsend and husband, Larry, of Pinehurst, Gary Wilke and wife, Mary, of San Antonio, Texas, and Jeffrey Wilke, of Germantown, Md. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; and sister, Virginia Laurell.
