Vernon Mitchell McCrimmon, 63, of Vass, passed Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Pinelake Health Care & Rehab in Carthage.
Mr. McCrimmon was born Feb. 24, 1947, in Moore County, to the late Vernon Eugene McCrimmon and Cornelia Harrison McCrimmon.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept. 26, at Boles Funeral Home Southern Pines. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Vass.
Mr. McCrimmon enjoyed all kinds of music and enjoyed watching wrestling.
Mr. McCrimmon is survived by his brother, Grady Thomas McCrimmon and wife, Pat, of Vass; sisters, Dorothy Maxine Hicks and husband, Sammy, of Vass, Virginia Ruth Jackson and husband, Don, of Eastwood, and Rebecca Faye McCrimmon, of Vass; his aunt, Nola Mabel Bates, of Whispering Pines; uncles, Walter McCrimmon and wife, Dorthy, of Raleigh, and Leroy Culler, of Vass; his first cousin Billy Cummings and her husband, Lester, and their daughter, Lexie, of Vass,.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers, Lester McCrimmon and Earl McCrimmon.
A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines
