Kenneth F. Hale
Kenneth Francis Hale, 76, of Seven Lakes, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Rochester, N.Y., and Seven Lakes.
Mr. Hale was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Rochester, N.Y., where he and his wife June lived until 1997, when they retired to Seven Lakes. Ken was an outstanding basketball player at his alma mater Rochester Institute of Technology, where he was proud to be inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. Ken and June enjoyed 20 years as members of Locust Hill Country Club in Rochester before joining Seven Lakes Country Club upon their retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, June; daughter, Lizbeth Hyatt-Armstrong (Jeffrey), of Pittsford, N.Y.; sons, Mark Hale, of Groveland, N.Y., and Robert Hale, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandson, Trevor Hale; granddaughters, Lindsay Hale, U.S. Navy, and Danielle and Kelsey Hyatt; special brother-in-law, Nelson Zuhlke; one niece and several nephews; many wonderful and caring friends.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful and compassionate care he received on the neurology floor of Moore Regional Hospital and in the hands of the Seven Lakes EMS as well as the constant and loving support of the Winsford Circle of friends.
