Diana Greer Caldwell, 78, a former longtime resident of Southern Pines, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Loudon, Tenn. Health Care Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Caldwell moved to Southern Pines from Rye, N.Y., in 1955, and lived in town until poor health took her to Tennessee two years ago to live near her daughter, Rebecca C. Fowler and her husband, Oscar S. Fowler Jr.
In addition to Rebecca, Mrs. Caldwell is survived by daughter, Jennifer C. Vogel and her husband, J. Vann Vogel, of Basking Ridge, N.J; their children, Katharine, Peter and Susanna Vogel; a brother, Charles Greer and his wife, Vicky, of Littleton, Colo.; two nieces; and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately in a few weeks time.
